Of course!  We encourage you to bring Fido along for the vacation.  There is no size or weight limit.  There is a cost of $10/night for your pet.  We ask that you let us know you're bringing your pet(s), since we want to make sure they are as comfortable as you.  Any damages they make will be charged to your bill.  Also, please remember to clean up after your pets!  If you need more bags, just let us know.

Any reptile, fish, or pet that is considered poisonous is prohibited.  You also may not maintain any exotic animals or livestock at Aunt Grace's.  Please do not bring a rude, biting pet but you may bring your happy, tail-wagging one.

lease read our complete Pets Policy for all information before bringing your pet.

What time is check-in? May we check in early?

Check-in is usually anytime after 3:00PM.  Our housekeepers must clean and prepare multiple cabins within a short time frame so that all of our newcoming guests have a clean, beautiful cabin.  Because of this, we do not usually allow early check-ins.  However if your cabin was empty the night before, you may be allowed to check in early but we will not know this until the day of your arrival.

If you arrive early and don't want to explore the area, that's fine!  You may explore Aunt Grace's and enjoy the picnic area until check-in time.

When is check-out? May I check-out late?

Check-out is any time before 11:00AM.  As mentioned before, our housekeepers have only a few hours to clean all of the cabins so we must give them as much time as possible.  For every one-half hour after 11:00AM, we will charge an additional one-half nights rent to your bill.

If you still want to enjoy a full day on the lake or exploring the area, you can leave your boat trailer or car(s) at Aunt Grace's after check-out time.  We have no problem with parking; we have plenty of it.  We just need to clear out each cabin so we can refresh it for the next guests.

Can I smoke in my room?

We do NOT allow smoking inside of our cabins.  If you decide to smoke in the cabins, we will charge an extra $150 cleaning fee to your bill.  However, you may smoke outside.  Each room has an ashtray outside of its door, as well as the pavilion, pool, and fire pit.  You can smoke wherever you want to outside, just don't smoke inside!  Also, we ask you to please pick up any butts you might leave around.

What is the pool policy?

At Aunt Grace's we care about everyone's safety.  No one under the age of 14 may be left at the pool without an adult.  Even with rules, accidents can still happen in a matter of seconds.  Adults: please watch your children at all times.  The pool is open from 10 to 10, so your kid(s) can have all the time they want to play around.  Remember the sun screen and pool toys!

Why can't we bring our ATV's, dirt bikes, firearms, or fireworks?

The answer is simple - noise!  We love to relax here and what may be fun for one person might be a nuisance to another, so that's why we don't allow the above items.  The only exception is you may use a firearm in a life-threatening situation.

Do you accept one-night rentals?

Yes, we accept one-night rentals for Monday-Thursday.  Usually, we do not do one-night rentals on the weekends.

What's the minimum age for reserving a cabin?

The minimum age is 23.  Anyone under 23 must be accompanied by an adult and the renting adult must occupy the cabin during the rental period.  We've hosted birthday parties in the past and once, one brave parent had 8 14 year old girls for a 2 day sleep over party.

What is a weekly rental?

A weekly rental is considered to be six (6) nights.  The start date is completely up to you, and of course the availability of our cabins.

What kinds of critters will we encounter in the Ozarks?

Since you're in the mountains and near a lake, you will encounter bugs, snakes, armadillos, lizards, deer, and other critters.  Remember that most of them are just as afraid of you as you are of them, so please try to leave them alone (other than the pictures for memories)!

Do you do online reservations?

No, we don't.  We really enjoy interacting with people, even the ones who don't stay with us.  If you call us and decide that we're not right for you, we can direct you to one of the other local resorts in the area.
